About Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medical methodology. It treats patients by inserting thin, solid needles into the points in the skin to rebalance the body energy, and stimulating the body's own healing process. It emphasizes on the creation and maintenance of physiological harmony and balance. Its use in certain conditions has been endorsed by the United States National Institutes of Health, the National Health Service of the United Kingdom, and the World Health Organization. Its effectiveness with minimal harmful side effects is making Acupuncture more and more popular in modern medical treatment. American College of Physicians (ACP) guidelines has been a strong push for the use of acupuncture as one of nonpharmacological treatments for low back pain since 2017.
